Measures of Dispersion

Learners will be able to:

• Calculate the range of a set of data by finding the difference between the highest and lowest values. • Identify the first and third quartiles in a set of data arranged in numerical order. • Determine the interquartile range by calculating the difference between the values of the first and third quartiles. • Arrange a set of data in numerical order to find the quartiles. • Construct a five-number summary from a set of data, including the minimum value, maximum value, and three quartile values.
