Arithmetic Series

Learners will be able to:

• Identify the formula for the sum of an arithmetic series: Sn = (n/2) * [2a + (n-1)d]. • Apply the formula for the sum of an arithmetic series to evaluate the sum of a given arithmetic sequence. • Solve quadratic equations using the quadratic formula, including factoring and simplifying expressions inside square roots. • Determine the value of n in an arithmetic series when given the sum of all terms. • Use the concept of an arithmetic series to solve real-world problems involving savings or expenses.
