Finding the Equation of an Inverse Function

• Identify the inverse of a function as a rule that relates the range of the original function to its domain. • Explain how the process of finding an inverse involves interchanging the domain and range of the original function. • Describe the effect on the graph when reflecting it about the line y = x, including the interchange of x and y coordinates of intercepts. • Determine whether a given graph is a function or not using the vertical line test. • Sketch the inverse graph of a parabola and explain why it may or may not be a function.
