Exponential function and its inverse

Learners will be able to:

• Identify the inverse of an exponential function as a logarithmic function. • Describe how to find the inverse of an exponential function using logs. • Write down the equation of the inverse of a given log base function in the form y equals. • Sketch the graphs of an exponential and its inverse (logarithmic) functions on the same set of axes, including all intercepts with the axes. • Identify the horizontal asymptote for an exponential graph and the vertical asymptote for its inverse logarithmic graph.
