Learners will be able to:

• Identify the trigonometric ratios for sin(α), cos(α), and tan(α) in a right-angled triangle. • Calculate the value of sin(α) using the ratio of opposite side over hypotenuse. • Determine the value of cos(α) using the ratio of adjacent side over hypotenuse. • Explain why any of the three trigonometric ratios (sin α, cos α, and tan α) can be used to find the angle α in a given triangle. • Apply the trigonometric ratios to find the angle α in a right-angled triangle.
